What the extension does

• Extracts text from e‑Challan PDF files or QR codes you provide.
• Maps extracted fields (e.g., TIN, Name, Amount, Assessment Year) to inputs on the NBR eReturn Ledger page.
• Fills those fields automatically upon your action.

Data processing and storage

• Local‑only: PDF parsing, QR decoding, and form filling run inside your browser. No servers are involved.
• No uploads: The extension does not upload, sync, or transmit your data.
• Optional local settings: If you choose to save “field mappings,” they are stored in your browser’s local storage and remain on your device.

Permissions

• The extension may request access to read/modify content on specific NBR eReturn pages to identify and fill input fields. This is required solely for autofill functionality.

Third‑party libraries

• PDF parsing and QR decoding are performed with reputable open‑source libraries (e.g., pdf.js, jsQR). These libraries also run locally.

Children’s privacy

This extension is not intended for children. It is a productivity tool for adult taxpayers and professionals.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy for clarity or legal reasons. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
